My life is kind of crazy.
I have 3 Kids, 2 axolotl (Edger and Edwin) and a Chinese Crested name Delilah and we all share an apartment in Manhattan and a big old Victorian on the Hudson River. My "daytime job" is Director of Orndee Omnimedia, a NYC PR firm that I founded in 2009. I am also an author and speaker, advocate of do overs and direction changes, a documentarian, and collector of oddities.
In addition to helping amazing people and firms gain the recognition that they deserve, I am passionate about helping people create their own unique brand, determine their own definition of success, and live more fulfilling personal and professional lives.
For me, part of this passion comes from helping victims of stalking, bullying, and harassment. As one of over 7.5 million adults victimized by stalking and bullying, I understand first hand how debilitation the crime can be on your self esteem, your family, and on your professional reputation. Professionals and small business owners who become the object of a stalker or bullying campaign can find themselves at a loss as to how to combat the attacks. The results can be emotionally and economically devastating. With most of the focus placed on helping children and teens deal with bullying and harassment (something certainly needed) and with laws that have yet to catch up to technology, adult victims are often left with limited recourse.
You can read my almost daily tips on dealing with stalking and bullying under the "stop it" tab above or find out more about my work with adult stalking, bullying, and harassment victims at my site Stand Up To Stalking, which includes a lot of information about coping, combating, and regaining control over your life, your brand, and your reputation. Stalkers and bullies gain power by affecting and effecting your life, they rob you of your self esteem, steal your joy, and try to damage the way in which the world sees you. I love to help people take all that back.
Since I am a "walk the walk" kind of girl, my new site focuses on the things that inspire me and make me feel successful in my own life. And now that I am in my 40s, that includes re-examining my goals, dusting off some of those dreams deferred, and focusing on things that make me tick. So in addition to PR, branding, and personal empowerment, we can talk about fashion, art, cooking, reading, collecting, decorating, and experiencing life. My goal in sharing my journey and my life is to empower others to retake theirs.
Join me in exploring NYC and beyond, reinterpreting classic dishes, collecting lovely things, renovating my Victorian “money pit” on a budget, reading interesting books, shopping at my favorite finds, and creating and experiencing a life passionately lived. I hope that my crazy life inspires you too!
much love, Alex
