Kitchen Library: Cookbooks Worth the Clean-Up - The Casserole Queens Cookbook
I don't know about you, but when it's cold outside there are few things better in my book then a hot and hearty casserole. What's not to love? Minimal prep, one cooking dish to clean, and new takes on classic comfort foods makes this cookbook a go-to in my home. Authors Crystal Cook and Sandy Pollock present recipes in a no-nonsense, sassy fashion, which I always appreciate. Plus....everything is delicious!
Welcome to my new cookbook review home.
Each week I review one of the books from my collection and share my favorite recipes.
Since November 2011, I have provided a weekly review of cookbooks and provided modernized versions of classic recipes on my blog, Modern Classic Kitchen. Most of these reviews and recipes come straight from my cookbook collection, which numbers over 300 books from the 1850's to today. I have a bit of everything, but I especially love hostess how-tos from the 1950's and 60's, celebrity and entertainment themed promotional cookbooks, and anything quirky.
As part of my quest for better organization, I am combining my blogs, radio shows, and online classes into one spot. Here! If you are looking for old cookbook reviews or recipes, I am editing, updating, and adding them in a little at a time.
Thanks for staying with me. I hope that you will find this new combined site a joy!
